IHI Energy Storage Acquires ESWare™ Energy Storage Analytics and Optimization Suite from 24M

NEW YORK, BOSTON, and CHICAGO, July 31, 2015

IHI, Inc. has acquired 24M’s ESWare™ suite of analysis and optimization software for grid scale energy storage applications.

ESWare consists of software to assist in planning, deploying, and operating small- to largescale energy storage systems on the grid, both in front of and behind the utility meter. These systems include those tied to solar, wind, bio-mass, and other renewables.

ES/Analyzer, the ESWare pre-sale analytics tool, allows planners to select services to monetize, understand the best dispatch strategy, identify optimal system specifications, and confirm project profitability/rate of return/net present value before deployment.

ES/Optimizer, the run-time optimization component of ESWare, continuously monitors system and market parameters and determines the optimal system set points to maximize system profitability. These system and market parameters include both historical and forecasted load data, time-of-use tariff information, weather-related parameters such as solar irradiance and wind forecasts, battery performance and cost curves and the like.
