A chemical engineer by training, Farrokh brings a wealth of experience to his new role, with a distinguished career in energy generation that ranges from power trading to asset management of over 2GWs of generation assets. Leveraging this holistic view of storage systems integration and lifecycle services, Farrokh will be instrumental in advancing IHI Terrasun’s mission of serving as an essential one-stop shop for clients, providing not only Operations & Maintenance (O&M) capabilities but extending company offerings with best-in-class compliance, monitoring, and high voltage services.

With an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Farrokh's unique journey over two decades in energy generation equips him with a comprehensive understanding of the industry. He began his career by managing, optimizing, and hedging generation for utilities and IPPs (Independent Power Producers) within PJM, ISONE, MAPP, NYISO MISO, and ERCOT, with a unit mix consisting of nuclear, coal, natural gas, oil, and pumped storage. Farrokh then went on to direct asset management, partnership relationships, and performance optimization activities for renewables companies in the Houston area, including First Solar, Broad Reach Power, and Onward Energy, before coming to IHI Terrasun.
